Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how EduOnTrack, LLC collects, uses, shares, and protects information when people use or visit our services, including DeviceOnTrack, ClassOnTrack, and educationontrack.com.

Services Covered

DeviceOnTrack supports school device tracking and managed device workflows. ClassOnTrack supports classroom focus sessions, join links or codes, and engagement signals. This policy applies to both services unless a product page or school agreement says otherwise.

Information We Collect

Depending on the service and account setup, we may collect:

  • Account information, such as name, email address, role, school, and district.
  • Device information for DeviceOnTrack, such as assigned device identifiers, status, location or checkout details provided by a school, device activity needed to provide the service, and administrative notes.
  • Classroom session information for ClassOnTrack, such as session names, join codes, participation records, presence signals, engagement signals, timestamps, and teacher-created content.
  • Technical information, such as browser type, device type, IP address, log data, diagnostics, and security events.
  • Support communications and information submitted through forms, email, or service support channels.

Student and School Data

When EduOnTrack, LLC provides services to a school, district, or educator, student information may be provided or controlled by that educational institution. We use student and school data to provide and support the requested educational service, maintain security, troubleshoot issues, and comply with applicable agreements and law.

We do not use student personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell student personal information. When a school uses our services with students, the school may be responsible for notices, consents, access requests, and other obligations under laws such as FERPA and COPPA.

How We Use Information

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve DeviceOnTrack and ClassOnTrack.
  • Authenticate users and manage permissions.
  • Support school device operations, classroom sessions, reporting, and administrative workflows.
  • Protect the services, prevent misuse, investigate security issues, and enforce terms.
  • Respond to support requests and communicate service updates.
  • Comply with legal, contractual, and regulatory obligations.

How We Share Information

We may share information:

  • With authorized school, district, or organization users based on their role and permissions.
  • With service providers that help us host, secure, maintain, analyze, or support the services.
  • When required by law, subpoena, court order, or valid legal process.
  • To protect the rights, safety, and security of users, schools, EduOnTrack, LLC, or the public.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or transfer of business assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Service Providers

We may use third-party vendors for hosting, databases, authentication, analytics, payments, communications, monitoring, security, and customer support. These providers are allowed to process information only as needed to provide services to us or as otherwise permitted by law and contract.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember preferences, secure sessions, understand service usage, and improve performance. Browser settings may allow users to block or delete some cookies, but doing so may affect service functionality.

Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the services, meet school or district instructions, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security. Schools may request deletion or export of school-controlled data according to their agreement and applicable law.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so users should protect account credentials and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.

Access, Correction, and Deletion

Account holders may be able to access or update certain information inside the service. Parents, guardians, and students seeking access to education records should contact their school or district first, because the school generally controls student education records. Schools may contact us for support with access, correction, export, or deletion requests.

Children's Privacy

ClassOnTrack and DeviceOnTrack may be used in educational settings involving students. When applicable, we rely on the school or district to authorize use of the service for an educational purpose and to provide required notices or obtain required consents. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information for commercial purposes outside the school-authorized educational use of the services.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice through the services or other reasonable means.
